I purchased this little beauty to the left the first weekend it was launched to the public. I still cringe at the thought of just how much I paid for the Motorola Droid through Verizon Wireless. I “had” to buy myself out of a contract to get it. According to Verizon’s rules, I wasn’t ready for the new every two years option. Hell, I had just upgraded my phone in September.
I don’t regret not waiting until 2011. That’s a helluva long time to go without being exposed to the wonderful thing called a smartphone. This smartphone does just about everything except my laundry and dishes!
Before the Droid, I was content with my regular old cell phone. I don’t make very many calls anyway, I told myself. Well, this thing isn’t just about phone calls. Far from it. The Droid not only affords me the opportunity to keep up with everything on the internet no matter where I am, there is an entire community of developers who are making some of the most indispensable applications. I’m left wondering what in the hell did I do before the Droid?!
In this topic I will be posting all I know and am learning about smartphone technologies and applications, and uses for them.
